To receive, learn and experience. “We must draw together from the same source, but then to water the different trees of our different Countries, rather than repeating the same things everywhere.” This is the presentation by Bro Mario Houle, Provincial Canada-USA-Mexico regarding the meeting held from 20th to 25th March in Kisubi, Uganda. Live explanations and image echoes of the 25 participants!
As the face of our Congregation changes and the Mennaisian Family grows everywhere, it is essential not only to deepen and make known the charism, but also to adapt it to the different sectors on the five Continents. This was central to the priorities of the 2018 General Chapter.
The challenge is therefore to call and prepare Teachers – Lay people as well as Brothers – now.
To this end, an International team was set up a few months ago by the General Council. In the animation team: Michèle Hétu, Co-ordinator, Canada, Bros Josu Olabarrieta, Valmyr Dabel of Haiti and Jean-Yves Hamon of France.
And now, after several months of preparation, the Formation of Formators has started from Monday to Friday, at the Nabinoonya site in Kisubi, Uganda, on Lake Victoria.
This group will then continue formation on line for two years.
Objectives: to deepen the content of Mennaisian Spirituality and Educational tradition, but also and above all to live an experience that they will in turn have to share.
In the Summer of 2025, another week of high time will close these two years of formation in Ploërmel, cradle of our charism.
Thanks to Bro Mario Houle
