Were there to thank the Lord for the Opportunity of the Perpetual Vows of Bro Etienne.

The Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Bishop André Gueye, Bishop of Thiès, started at ten, and lasted for more than two hours, at the rhythm of the Liturgical Serer Songs (Local language). With Great Emotion (some tears did not fail to flow!) and Joy, and in the presence of his Brothers from the District, Bro Etienne Committed forever to following Christ who has seduced him since his first steps at the Juniorate of Thiès in 2010.

Bro Jean-Baptiste Ndiaye, Brother Visitor and Mgr. Gueye

Mons. Gueye, in his Homily, thanked the Congregation for her contribution to Education in Senegal, since their arrival in November 22nd, 1841. To Brother Etienne, he reminded him the meaning of such a Ceremony: The Grace of having put his whole life in the hands of God Alone and of having accepted to follow Christ forever, in the service of the Education of children and young people. In that sense, he urged him to cultivate a Spiritual Life rooted in Christ and to make the Permanent Quest for Excellence the compass of his life as a Mennaisian    Educator.

At the end of the Mass, Songs, Dances, Hugs and Gifts were punctuated by the Meal; the Festivities continued very late in the evening on the Village Square by the nguél, a Traditional Cecital in Sèrère Country.

A great ‘satisfecit’ to the Organizing Team and the Christian Community of Kouadiadiène who made the Party so beautiful!
