POLYNESIA – Papeete: Youth Movement of the Mennaisian Family

Train to Serve: An Animation Session for High School Students at the Foyer des Îles from October 27th to 30th, 2024.

Young People in Training Session

The Mennaisian Family Youth Movement (MJFM) organized a Training Session for High School Students who wanted to become Animators. This Session, warmly hosted by the Foyer des Îles, founded by the Frères de Ploërmel, allowed around twenty young people to learn Animation Techniques while discovering the richness of a Spiritual Commitment.

Exchanges, Sharing, Mutual Enrichment…

Participants benefited from Practical Courses on Animation Techniques: Organization of Large Games, Evenings, and Educational Workshops. The Training also included a Legislative Component to raise awareness of their Responsibilities in Youth Camps, as well as a Reflection on the Importance of Living their Mission in the Light of Christian Values.

Each Workshop, Rich in Learning, aimed to prepare them to transmit unforgettable and Meaningful Moments to the children they would Supervise. That Session was also marked by Beautiful Human Encounters. The Young Trainees exchanged with the Interns of the Foyer des Îles, young people far from their families, who came to continue their Studies in Tahiti.

These Sharings, marked by Fraternity and Listening, embodied Christ’s call to meet others, in all their Diversity. The Session concluded with a Time of Adoration in the Chapel of the Home, where everyone was able to entrust their Projects to the Lord, followed by a Recreational Day at the Beach. A well-deserved moment of Relaxation to celebrate together the end of that Beautiful Adventure.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Brothers of Christian Instruction for their welcome at the Foyer des Îles, which allowed Our Young People to grow in their Mission of Animation and their Faith. A Beautiful Promise for the Future of Our Youth!

From November 22nd to 24th, the Maria no te Hau Parish hosted the Diocesan Youth Days (JDJ), bringing together more than 900 Young People from all over Polynesia. The Mennaisian Family Youth Movement (MJFM) actively participated in that event, demonstrating its Dynamism and Commitment to Young People.

During those days, the MJFM made an impression with a Short Scene accompanied by a Gesture Song, the result of an Original Composition made during their last Training Session. That moment was a great opportunity to convey a Message of Hope to the Assembly, while highlighting the Talents and Creativity of the Young Mennaisians.

Closing Mass

Those days also allowed for Wonderful Meetings with other Catholic Movements, strengthening the Spirit of Fraternity and the Richness of Exchanges among Polynesian Youth.

Together, let us walk with Faith and Hope, guided by the Lord!
