On Sunday, September 8th 2024, An Extraordinary Event was celebrated at the Maison Saint-Joseph in Pointe-du-Lac, around A Dean who continues to rewrite the History of Longevity in Our Congregation.

Brother Roger LeBlanc, from the height of his solid 105 years, 9 months and 9 days, surrounded by the Members of his Fraternity and the Provincial Team, allowed himself to be celebrated on the Occasion of his 90 years of Religious Life. This is a feast never achieved among the FIC, obviously, and quite probably quite unprecedented in the Universal Church.

Bishop Martin Laliberté, Bishop of the Diocese of Trois-Rivières, celebrated the Eucharist in the Chapel, with Simplicity and Joy, also highlighting the 60th Anniversary of Brother Jean-Pierre Houle.

Episcopal Blessing

Brother Roger welcomed the Wishes and Tributes as he welcomed every day the thousand Attentive and Delicate Services rendered to him by his Colleagues and Members of the Staff: with much Gratitude, Abandonment and Humour!

It was a Precious Gift for his Fraternity and for the Jean de la Mennais Province.
