We, members of the school complex of Jean Marie de la Mennais of BUNIA (DRC) wish a happy feast of the Bicentenary to all the members of the Congregation.
We give thanks to God for the gift he gave to the Church giving us as founders Jean-Marie de la Mennais and Gabriel Deshayes.

To all the Mennaisian members, Happy Bicentenary Celebration!!!
It gives us pleasure as the Fraternity of Ecole notre Dame des Apôtres de Nyundo-Rwanda, to extend our sincere gratitude to the Almighty God for having kept the candle of education and evangelization burning for these two complete centuries. We jubilate and celebrate a bicentenary of existence. It reminds us when the Brothers of Christian Instruction came into reality. This was on the 6th June 1819 at Saint Brieuc, when the two great men of God, Father Jean Marie de la Mennnais and His counterpart Gabriel Deshayes signed a memorandum of understanding to found the congregation of the Brothers of Christian Instruction, to respond to the urgent need of the time which was none other than education of the children and the youth of middle class.
Our sincere thanks goes to all the majors Superiors living and our beloved ones who have gone before us, for having spread the seeds of mennaisian education and evangelization to all the corners of the world in the footsteps of the founders. We cannot rule out the tremendous contribution of the rest of the local superiors, brothers, mennaisian laity, children and youth of our schools, centers and institutions for living the mennaisian spirit in our mission.
Furthermore, this is the time to celebrate and ring out our joy in songs of praise and thanksgiving to God, the All Giver for this bicentenary our existence. It is a time to look back and commit ourselves to the carrying on of this Holy mission in the light of the Holy Spirit. This is indeed the moment to get closer to God, to hear again his call and ask Him to give us more strength and courage to dare to go the peripheral for this noble cause.
As we mark this precious event of our existence, hence, let us remember to keep trusting in God’s divine providence and ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patroness our institute to keep interceding for us.

’ Ensemble et ensemble, nous pouvons bâtir un monde nouveau ‘’
C’est sur ces mots d’unité, du vivre et de faire ensemble que le Complexe Scolaire Jean-Marie de La Mennais (C.S. J.M.M) a démarré ses activités du bicentenaire et bâtit son projet éducatif.
En effet, les valeurs de fraternité et de solidarité sont intrinsèques à la formation intégrale de l’apprenant. C’est ce que nous rappelle notre Père fondateur, Jean-Marie de La Mennais dans l’un de ses Sermons : « L’instruction n’est qu’une moitié de votre tâche, l’éducation est la principale (…) Nous avons à former l’homme tout entier, à le former pour lui-même, pour son propre bonheur, pour sa famille, pour la société, pour la terre et pour l’éternité. ». Ainsi donc, des activités sportives et culturelles sont menées pour garantir et faire goûter aux apprenants et à tous, ces valeurs du vivre et faire ensemble.
Pour aller plus loin dans cette célébration du bicentenaire la direction du C.S. J.M.M et son personnel en lien avec le thème d’année ‘’Appeler des disciples’’ ont mené des actions pour faire activer et susciter des vocations de frères chez les apprenants par la mise en place d’un groupe mennaisien appelé les J.M. « Les Jeunes Mennaisiens ». De ce noyau nous espérons faire renaître et revivre la figure de l’apôtre zélé et infatigable Jean-Marie de La Mennais.

MESSAGE DU COMITE D’ELEVES DE L’INSTITUT WANDO, RDC Congo
Nous sommes le comité d’élèves de l’institut Wando de la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) situé dans la province du Haut-Uélé en territoire de Dungu (Nord-Est). Nous sommes heureux de souhaiter nos vœux d’une belle fête du bicentenaire aux 200 écoles mennaisiennes du monde entier.
A l’occasion du bicentenaire, nous nous associons à l’action de grâce tous les mennaisiens du monde : frères et laïcs pour le témoignage rendu auprès de la jeunesse il y a de cela 200 ans. Nous voulons dire que ce jubilé soit pour nous tous élèves des écoles Mennaisiennes motif de joie, d’unité et de fraternité.
Que ce temps jubilaire nous offre l’opportunité d’approfondir notre foi en Jésus Christ. Foi qui nous amène à voir en l’autre (enfant et jeune), un frère à aimer et à soutenir.
Que le Seigneur, par l’intercession de nos fondateurs Jean-Marie de la Mennais et Gabriel Deshayes bénissent nos écoles et qu’elles produisent des fruits.
Vierge Marie notre patronne et notre protectrice intercède pour nous et nos éducateurs pour que nous bâtissions des nouveaux chemins de fraternité. Dieu seul dans le temps, Dieu seul dans l’éternité.”
