Passage through the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome: Casa Community, with Brothers Eric Mugisa and Philippe Douti.
The Big Moment has arrived!
After more than Two Months in Portugal, with the Marist Brothers, Our Future Missionaries separated for a while. Brother Christian Usengimana and Brother Philippe Douti came to spend the End of the Year at the Casa Generalizia in Rome.
A Discernment was made after that First Step, and Brother Christian who had begun his preparation, finally joined Rwanda, his Country, where he arrived a few days ago. He joined his New Community in Kirambo.
The General Council was left with the concern of Replacement to maintain the future Community in East Timor at 3. It was Brother Eric MUGISA, from Congo DRC, who made himself available for that Call. The latter joined the Marist Brothers in Portugal on January 18th to learn Portuguese like his Confreres.
Opening of the Holy Year, December 24th, 2024, in St. Peter’s Square.
The stay of Our Future Missionaries in Rome was not without Grace, in addition to the More Festive and Fraternal Moments of the End of the Year experienced in Community. But it was also the Beginning of the Holy Year; The entire Community of the Casa and Brothers Eric and Philippe Crossed the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica on January 16th.
Brother Stéphane Le Pape has already been in Dili (Capital of East Timor) for a few days and would welcome Brother Philippe on Monday, January 20th. They would be staying at the Community of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD).
The Entire Congregation continues to carry them in her Prayers and wishes them: a Beautiful and Holy Mission!
