During two weeks of the General Conference which is held in Port-au-Prince in Haiti, the Major Superiors visited several schools and educational Centres. In Port-au-Prince and in the surroundings Delmas-Pétionville- they met the teaching Staffs of St Louis of Gonzague Institution, of Jean-Marie Guillou School and of St Joseph School.
At Jacmel, the Brothers were welcomed by the whole School with rhythmical songs. Bro Edwin, the Head teacher, the three other Brothers of the community and the teaching Staff marked with liveliness the passage of this international delegation. At La Vallée, the Staffs of the Primary and the Secondary schools exhibited the children’s realisations and the young people’s skills.
The Hotel-Tourism section of André Guimont Vocational School, with specialisations in cuisine and pastry, prepared and served the meal. A Masonry and Plumbing section is also developed on the site. Two French volunteers, on retirement, are present on the site as trainers in cooking and baking for three months.
