“You are called to be Witnesses and Watchers animated by the Power of Hope” strongly emphasized Father Alberto Toutin, Preacher of the Chapter Retreat.
“The Fraternity of the Congregation and the Mennaisian Family is a Foretaste of the Resurrection. »
Three Testimonies were shared during Easter Mass
Witnessing means helping each other, insisted the Celebrant.
Bro. Franciscus, Indonesia. Excerpts
“As a young Brother in the Congregation of the La Mennais Brothers and participating in this General Chapter, Jesus’ Command to fill the Jars with water at the Wedding of Cana reminds me to always be Ready to Serve.
This Message emphasizes Trust, Strong brotherhood and Obedience to God. Every Action, no matter how small and simple, has the potential to be a means of Blessing others.”
Brother Carlos Lovatto, Brother Visitor of the Divine Providence District, Argentina-Uruguay-Bolivia-Chile. Excerpts
“As a District of Divine Providence, we experience the sensation that the Wine is running out and endangering the Joy of the Wedding. Being born to something New involves dying to what is already known. The experience of Synodality is learning to Walk Together.
Two Phrases caught my attention: “Do whatever he tells you” and “Fill the Jars with Water.” We are in the attitude of Active Servants and not mere Spectators of the Wedding Feast.”
Françoise Le Breton, Lay Associate, France, Member of the International Committee of the Mennaisian Family
“Do everything He tells us. Do I have the same confidence in Jesus as Mary? This Retreat helped me answer my questions through the Figure of Peter and the Women. This Figure reassures me because it shows me that following Jesus is not a Straight Path. This Posture of Jesus also brings me back to my Posture as an Educator: having confidence in young people, agreeing to change Paths to help them move Forward in Life.
The 2nd point that I remember is the place of Mary and Women. They are there discreet but very present, a reassuring presence. I will return to Guérande with this Reinforced Conviction: in Mennaisian Family Mode, let us listen to the Lord.”
A Message to the Chapter received from the Daughters of Providence.
“Your Sisters are with you!” »
“The Prayers of all your Sisters accompany you during these very important days for the FIC Institute, for the Entire Mennaisian Family and for the Church.
Happy Easter to all Participants and the Team supporting them!”
Sister Louise Touchette, Superior General
Sister Louise will be present at the Chapter the last 3 days, at the Invitation of the Brother Superior General and his Council.
