Bro Achilleo received from His Lordship the Bishop of Yambio on 17th November 2018, a superb token of gratitude for the realisation of the mission at Riimenze. This is in recognition of his relentlessness, his perseverance, his tenacity to overcome all the difficulties – that he has dauntlessly encountered so often!
The Brothers from Uganda – have been present in Riimenze since 2013. Now, the community consists of Bros Achilleo, Delto and Aiden.
At the moment the school of Our LAdy of the Assumption is in full swing!
A word from Brother Achilleo: « I am grateful to God that amidst all the tribulations and challenges we have gone through, the Lord has not allowed our toils to go unrewarded.
Through His humble servant, the Rt Rev Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala. I have received a medal of resilience and hard work for this mission of Our Lady of Assumption Primary school, Riimenze. I am grateful to the Lord who has enabled me to achieve this in my life time. It has energised me to work even more, especially after reading former Bro Superior General’s encouraging invitation: “Let us learn to flourish where God has planted us.”
Following this award of the Certificate of Excellence, Brother Achilleo received a lot of congratulatory messages from his confreres of Mt. This November, 2018: Our Lady of the Assumption mixed-boarding Primary School has a population of 217 pupils (119 girls and 98 boys), with a teaching Staff of 10 teachers: 6 Ugandans, 2 Kenyans, 2 South Sudanese and 8 other non-teaching Staff members (administration, and group employees …)
